North Petherton in Kelly’s Directory of Somerset, 1919

Extracted people, businesses, public services, churches, schools, clubs and related parish information

Prepared from the supplied scans of Kelly’s Directory of Somerset 1919

Scope and method

This report extracts and organises the North Petherton material found in the supplied Kelly’s Directory of Somerset 1919 documents. The main North Petherton entry appears on directory pages 363-364. The report also includes the directory’s linked entries for Moorland, also called North Moor Green, and North Newton because the directory states that both were ecclesiastical parishes formed from the civil parish of North Petherton. A final appendix summarises wider administrative and trade-directory cross-references that mention North Petherton.

Transcription note: spellings and abbreviations broadly follow the 1919 directory. Obvious OCR errors have been corrected by checking the rendered page images, for example ‘Cæsar Frederick’ and ‘Stainbank’.
